Researchers

Science for Peace is a society of working researchers. Our members include faculty at Canadian universities, independent scholars, post-doctoral fellows, and senior researchers active in international scientific institutions. All publications on this repository are authored by named members; we do not publish anonymous policy material.

Becoming a contributing researcher

Membership is open to researchers and graduate students working in fields adjacent to our six working groups. Applicants are invited to submit a brief letter of interest, a CV, and one writing sample (peer-reviewed article, technical report or substantive op-ed). Membership applications are reviewed by the relevant working-group chair. Annual membership dues are scaled to career stage; we do not turn applicants away for inability to pay.

Editorial standards

Submissions undergo double-blind review by at least two working-group members. Reviewers are asked to assess scientific accuracy, the strength of the argument, the clarity of policy implications, and the absence of undisclosed conflicts of interest. Authors disclose all funding sources for the work, including indirect support. Reviewers may not be in current research collaboration with the author.

To apply, write to our editorial office with the subject line “Researcher application — [your area]”.
