Wed, Jan 31, 2018: Building a Cosmopolitan Imagination: The Global Great Books Project
By Thomas Ponniah, Professor, Liberal Arts, George Brown College; Lecturer, Harvard University.
Jan. 31, 2018, 7:00 pm
Room 140, University College, 15 King’s College Circle, University of Toronto.
All welcome—no charge.
Thomas Ponniah is promoting the development of a Global Great Books program. The original curriculum of great books was based almost entirely on Western texts, but Ponniah wants to include books from many different civilizations. Come and get your mind cosmopolitanized for free! Everyone is welcome. We will be livestreaming this talk, so if you can’t come in person, watch the Science for Peace Facebook page (after 7:00pm on 31 January) and send us questions, which Ponniah will answer during the Q and A session.
